Angels and Lutes: Inspiration

I’m intrigued by the number of historical paintings depicting angel musicians, and there is always at least one angel playing a lute. I am in the beginning stages of my journey with the lute, and am completely in love with it. It’s quite a special instrument. So I’ve decided to start a series of poems
